FSMA - FSVP
With the publication of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) regulation, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) now makes importers responsible for ensuring food safety of the products brought to the USA. FDA requires importers to approve their suppliers based on a determination of hazards and verification that these hazards are controlled.
Receiving facilities in the USA that comply with the Preventive Controls Rule and its supply-chain program are considered to be in compliance with the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP)

KHI is working diligently to comply with the requirements of the FSVP:
- Identifying hazards of each food product brought to the US
- Determining what actions need to be taken to control those hazards
- Requesting our suppliers to conduct the necessary activities to control such hazards
- Verifying supplier’s compliance through documentation review, sampling, testing, inspections and third party audits (as necessary)
